Products
To create a product one needs a certain production method, which includes two ingredients: a material and a technique. Without a material there’s nothing to put into fabrication and without a technique a material stays solely a material. Generally there’s a traditional combination between a particular material and a technical method, for instance the sawing of wood and the welding of metal.
I’m looking for new combinations between materials and techniques, whilst also creating interventions within traditional means of production. By working from the origin of a product, new designs -which show their source and intention- are possible. Therefore, my products are the end result of experiments, where form and function are being determined by their specific creation and combination.
