For the Dutch Invertuals exhibition 'Happy Future' Jeroen Wand will present his latest work titled '660.32º'. In this project Jeroen Wand returns to the essence of welding - connecting two things of the same material by melting- with the use of aluminu. Resulting in an optimistic primitivism; the material aluminum is high-tech, whereas the technique is rough and bold, the object hint towards artefacts from the Iron and Stone Age. 660.32º, the melting point af aluminum, is the only necessary knowlegde to produce the presented objects, creating a modern yet primeval open source process. For the fourth consecutive year the continuously alternating designers collective Dutch Invertuals will present their latest work during the Dutch Design Week. This year the exhibition, called 'CONFLICT', is centred on the frictions and contradictions that open up the possibility for innovations and moving forward. The positive notion of the conflict is underlined and forms the condition for the creative processes showed.
For this exhibition Studio Jeroen Wand created 'Phases'. Here one material performs an inner struggle. The primary shape of the 'Phases' are all based on one mould. The outside, however, is formed by the conflict between two phases of the same material: plaster.

[the future of contemporary work], City Hall, Stadhuisplein 1, EINDHOVEN Open daily 11 AM - 8 PM
The project 'De toekomst van het nieuwe werken' is a collective project where a mixture of architects, artists and designers where asked to perform a research into the prospectives of work in the contemporary and future society. The results of this project will be shown during the Dutch Design Week at the city hall of Eindhoven.
For this project Studio Jeroen Wand worked together with Nienke Sybrandy to give their vision on the future of work, employment, labor and professions. Their project focusses on the flexibility of the future worker. Where the flexible work space already experiences an acceptance and application in today's society, the future worker might be asked to employ all his capabilities and be an ultra-flexible employee. Why only use one talent when you have so many to offer?
By incorporating different professions at once, the future worker will need a place where all the skills can be executed simultaneously.
